Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

In February 2010 I will be undertaking the challenge of leading a team of Huskies acrooss the ice in the Arctic Circle. Based in the Finmark area of Northern Norway, with temperatures as low as -30c, this will be a tough physical challenge. Full details can be seen on my website www.davidmollison.net

The reason for doing this is to raise funds for The National Deaf Children's Society.

There are 35,000 deaf children in the UK and three more are born every day.

90% are born to hearing parents with little experience of deafness. Many families never learn to communicate with their deaf child.

40% of deaf children also have additional needs.

Deaf children often under achieve at school.

You can help by making a donation.

£20 will pay for a child to attend a day of football, rugby or tennis coaching.

£30 enables 15 head teachers to get specialist information about making sure their school fully includes deaf children in school life.

£70 funds one session for a family communication support worker to help families develop communication skills with their deaf child.

£100 provides 25 families with the information they need to know when they first find out their baby is deaf.

£250 will pay for a deaf child to take part in an activity holiday to allow them to learn essential communication skill

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The National Deaf Children's Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

Thank you
