As it's my 50th birthday on 1st September I was keen to raise funds for charity - having followed Jane Tomlinson's amazing story and read the 2 books she wrote with her husband Mike it seemed appropriate to take part in Mike's latest charity event - namely the cycle from John O Groats to Lands End. I'm lucky - I'm only doing 70 miles through the Lake District on 19th July !!!

So please give what you can - please do NOT buy me a birthday present but please give to Jane's Appeal instead.

PS My Jane's Appeal cycle on 19th July wasn't completed as my friend Kim had a very bad fall off her bike after 15 miles and needed stitched up in hospital; I did the decent thing by going with her..... Thankfully she is recovering well and we will be taking part in the Pedal for Scotland Glasgow - Edinburgh cycle on 16th September. All monies raised will go to Jane's Appeal
