Hello everyone
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, I hope that you can help me in my goal of making a difference to children’s lives in the UK by raising as much money for ChildLine as possible!
Along with a team of colleague’s from BT, I will be trekking across the Himalayas for ten days in May 2008 (Dharmasla in India) to raise money for ChildLine. The trek will involve navigating our way across a number of mountains on the southern sphere of the Himalayas, crossing over 12km of tough terrain per day, to reach 3,500m above sea level. I am doing this to raise money for ChildLine. ChildLine is a free service run by trained volunteers who can provide confidential support and advice for children and young people across the UK. Approximately 4,500 children phone ChildLine every day, though only about 2/3rds can be answered. With your help, we can ensure greater numbers of calls are answered, more volunteers trained and more children can be supported by this invaluable service.
This is a really exciting challenge for me and one that I can only reach with your help. I am aiming to raise at least £2,500 and your sponsorship can make a vital contribution to this. Please sponsor me whatever you can spare, any donation large or small is a fantastic help…every penny counts!
Thank you for your support David I am participating in the India Trek to raise funds for the benefit of ChildLine, a service provided by the NSPCC, registered charity number 216401 and SC037717. I have guaranteed to raise at least £2500 a share of which will be used to pay the costs of my flight and accommodation.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: ChildLine will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
