LANDS END TO JOHN O'GROATS - CHRISTIES ALL THE WAY:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I will start my bike ride on the 13 July at Lands End and hopefully finish on the 26 July at John O'Groats.  This is a distance of over 1000 miles which I will complete in less than two weeks.  I am doing this to raise money for the Christie Hospital - Maurice Phillips Appeal.  Maurice was a great friend of the family who died of cancer after a 12 year battle.  the maurice Phillips Fund provides financial support to give much needed help for selected Christie patients.  I shall also be thinking of another friend, John Birchall, while I am biking, who sadly passed away recently from cancer.

The Christie Hospital was in part founded by my Great Great Grandfather when, as owner of Joseph Holt Brewery, he founded the Holt Radium Institute, starting a family association which has continued to this day.
