When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community.

Story

David's mother had a severe stroke some fifteen years ago, and with support from Dad and the Stroke Association they still enjoy a quality of life, which at nearly ninety, was not expected. Clearly, we all want to support the Stroke Association to the max, so PLEASE donate as much as you can, and then some! We are taking on this challenge as a family, but I am particularly pleased with this photo which shows Oliver on his trike! The Idea that with all his disabilities, we are all able to join in on this ride is a gift. David's elder son Robin (who is a veteran of this kind of thing, London to Brighton Etc.) is also riding and has his own page at www.justgiving.com/robinpopham I hope you will support him too. Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Stroke Association gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!
