Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund in partnership with Cancer Research UK, following the death of her husband, Bobby Moore, from bowel cancer. The Bobby Moore Fund is now a leader in the fight against bowel cancer, funding research that’s helping more people to survive than ever before.

Story

DAVID SEAMAN MBE
I have been a dedicated supporter of the Bobby Moore Fund for two years, along with my wife Debbie. The fund is very close to my heart as my mother in-law sadly died of bowel cancer, which is why I have chosen to get my famous ponytail cut off in aid of the Bobby Moore Fund's bowel cancer research.

I attend many of their events such as the Golf Day at Wentworth, the Clay Pigeon Shoot and the annual Sports Quiz. I also run 'Safe Hands', Charity Golf Classic at Portugal's Parque da Floresta and in 2004 raised a phenomenal £105,000 for The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK.

In 2006 it is a special year for the fund as it marks the 40th anniversary of the 1966 World Cup victory, Debbie and I have chosen the Fund to benefit from the 'Safe Hands' golf day once again.
