Eleanor and I (who have hung up our trainers for the time being) managed to complete the run in a more than reasonable time. According to our offical times, I took 1 hour, 11 minutes and 11 seconds - Eleanor was thrilled to find out that she crossed the finish line a whole 1 second ahead of me! We both enjoyed the day, although we were glad when the running part was over.

With your generous support, we have managed to raise almost £8,500 for the two charities which is absolutely fantastic. Both BASIC (Brain and Spinal Injury Centre) and the Hallé send you their heartfelt thanks for enabling them to continue the important work that they do. Eleanor and I are grateful for your support which helped us keep up the training and push ourselves when the going got tough.

So a really big thank you all for your encouragment and generosity.
