Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 25th april 2010 i will run the virgin london marathon for the first time . I have wanted to run it for several years now and I finally have a place in 2010. I thought about which charity I wanted to raise money for and came up with JDRF - which stands for juvenile diabetes research foundation . This may not be a charity that is particularly well known but I want to raise money for it partly because it is a childrens charity and also because last year my niece was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The medication made available through research into this illness means she can stay healthy and fit.

Some of you will know me as the local postie  - I have delivered to the village of barwick-in-elmet in leeds for almost 5 years , and before that 6 years in scholes . I am famous for wearing shorts during the summer  - and often into the late autumn. As i write this in late november the long trousers are back on - BUT NOT FOR LONG !  On 25th november THE SHORTS ARE BACK !!! for ALL WINTER !!! So if you want to see if i really can wear shorts outside in the COLDEST wintry days  - or maybe you just want to see me freeze - then please give generously !!!
