Story
I plan to do the Thames Meander Run for Langalanga - a Kenyan education charity. The run is 54 miles (87 kilometres) along the Thames in February.
Please support me. It will mean a lot.
Langalanga has helped my family support a girl in Kenya through her education. Elizabeth was 13 when we started. She lives in a hut, no electricity. Her mother and father tragically died 4 years ago, she now lives with her Uncle. Langalanga offered her a scholorship to a great school. She works hard, really hard, and now finishes in the top 1% of all Kenya. She writes to us three times a year - always finding time to apologise for not working harder. She is a source of inspiration.
The Langalanga Scholarship Fund supports the education of bright but very needy young people from the impoverished area of the Rift Valley around the town of Gilgil in Kenya.
Follow http://www.langalanga.org.uk/ for more information.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Langalanga Scholarship Fund will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now and hopefully many more Elizabeth's!
Many thanks for your support.
