Leeds Midnight Walk · 28 February 2008

St Gemma's Hospice is a local, independent charity providing the best possible care and support for people in Leeds with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. We support patients and their families, both in the Hospice and in the community, at any stage of their illness.

Story

I everyone, I successfully completed the 13 miles at 3.40am, just as day was breaking and completing the last couple of miles with the Dawn chorus!

I thought my chances were scuppered a couple of weeks ago, when I sustained a foot injury, courtesy of the cornicing in the kitchen dropping on it!

Was it an omen too, that my number for the walk was 666??!

To try and ease the aches and pains, I kept myself busy yesterday, washing, ironing and cooking Sunday dinner!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St. Gemma's Hospice will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
