Deutsche Bank Isoc will be focussing on fundraising for the dire situation in East Africa over the next couple of weeks. Insha'allah we will be donating your generous contributions to the Islamic Relief appeal, with Deutsche Bank matching upto £1000 of all funds raised.

 

The worst drought in 60 years in the Horn of Africa is affecting nearly over 10 million people from across Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia.


Many people have lost their livelihoods due to the devastation to  livestock, and soaring food prices has put basic food materials beyond millions. The largest refugee camp in the world has been setup in Kenya, on the Somali-Kenya border, with over 300,000 inhabitants. The  number of cases of malnutrition and diarrhoea in children has increased exponentially.
