Story

On Saturday, 16th June, the db symmetry team and guests will be taking part in Rough Runner, a 10 km assault course to raise funds for Steve Burns Rooms, a charity set up by our friend, Steve Burne.

Former managing director of architects' practice, AEW, Steve Burne has been heavily involved with Ronald McDonald House and has, for the past five years, held the position of chair of the Manchester House Board of Governors.

Last year, Steve was sadly diagnosed with terminal cancer. To thank and recognise all that he has achieved, Ronald McDonald House announced that they would like to convert  part of the house in Manchester into additional rooms and, so that his legacy continues for years and years to come, these new rooms will be names ' The Steve Burne Rooms'.

Despite his illness, Steve has now tasked himself with raising £250k for Ronald McDonald house to fund the build of these new rooms which will enable families to stay close to their children in hospital.
