I joined the corps aged 28 after graduating from the University of East Anglia in 2006. I joined 42 Commando in 2007 straight from training and since then have conducted field firing in France, Mountain training in Wales and spent 2 months in Norway and Finland during the Cold Weather Warfare Training phase. I am currently undergoing training for deployment later this year.
I was keen to undertake the cycle challenge as I have never done anything like it before and fully support the Help for Heroes campaign. I used to cycle to and from university a few years ago, but the university was 850 miles closer than Lands End!
