Deafax has been at the forefront of technology since its inception in 1985. It exists to empower deaf people by offering them access to new and innovative technologies. Through this, we have seen literacy skills and self-confidence improve and feelings of isolation and inadequacy reduce.
We know from experience that technology can remove barriers to achievement enabling deaf people to fulfil their ambitions and integrate into the wider community.
Deafax specialises in creating, developing and delivering visual, deaf-friendly resources. Once we have produced a resource we create a workshop or training package around it. This can then be delivered by the Deafax team or can be used by others to deliver the training themselves.
Deafax has a small team of staff all of whom work to ensure we deliver a big impact!
