23rd May 2010 - We have reached the target! I have now had a drink or six..... and everybody's happy!

Most people manage to go without alcohol for January-but I decided to take it a step further! Infact 500 days, which means not a drop will pass my lips from 3rd January 2009 until May 18th 2010.

My wife Claire was diagnosed last summer with Follicular Lymphoma, and she was lucky enough to be selected for a clinical trial of Rituximab. I therefore decided to devote some of my time to raising funds for clinical research.

I want the money I raise to go specifically to Lymphoma research. Therefore I have decided to support Hope Against Cancer, and in particular the research being undertaken by Renata Walewska for CLL Therapy.
