Upper Wharfedale Three Peaks · 28 June 2014

For over 70 years UWFRA has been rescuing people and animals from the caves, mineshafts, fells and crags of Wharfedale, Nidderdale, Littondale and Mid-Airedale. Our rescue services remain free to all who need us, day or night and are financed entirely by fundraising events and donations.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am one of a team of three from Buckden taking part in the Upper Wharfedale Fell Resuce Association (UWFRA) Three Peaks Challenge on Saturday 28 June - it is a 22 mile walk including the three peaks of Birks Fell (610m), Buckden Pike (702m) and Great Whernside (704m).  We are taking part for two reasons - first UWFRA provide an essential and invaluable service in the Dales rescuing people and animals from unfortunate accidents, and their main source of funds are the monies raised by people like us.  The second reason is to prove to ourselves that we can do it!

If you feel that you can help us achieve our target by donating please do, either through this site or in person.
