Story

I've done it - it's all off now!! It's even growing back so what can i say but a great big THANK YOU to everyone who has sponsored me.  Without whom the head shave would mean nothing, so thank you to all of you you did the hard bit by digging deep in your pockets and helping me raise £3000.00 and also thanks to those who joined me on the charity evening and helped boost the funds through the charity raffle held on the night.  A huge thanks to all the local company's who supported me with fantastic donations/prizes for the raffle - I dont think many went home without a prize!!

YOUR SUPPORT, GENEROSITY AND KINDNESS HAS BEEN TRULY OVERWHELMING SO ON BEHALF OF MY 2 CHOSEN CHARITIES 'THANK YOU' Love you loads

Hi, as alot of you are probably now aware I am doing a sponsored charity head-shave on Saturday 21st June 2008 during the hosting of a charity evening instead of holding a 40th Birthday Party to help raise money for both Macmillan Cancer Support - as we have known so many people affected by this and also The Stroke Rehabilitation Unit at Clatterbridge Hospital where my husband was so well looked after when he was in there for more than 3 months learning to walk, talk and swallow again after his stroke.  That was over 3 years ago and Peter has made a tremendous recovery with their kind, caring and very supportive, dedicated hard work and help (especially in OT and Physio) without which he would not be doing aswell as he is.  He does voluntary work at the Unit to help encourage other stroke victims on their road to recovery.  As a result of this I feel that I want to do something to help, to try and give something back - so this is what I have decided to do. I am holding a charity evening instead of having a 40th Birthday Party where I will being getting all my hair chopped off.  My hair will be donated to "The Little Princesses Trust" which is a Uk based charity that help to make and provide wigs for children who have had cancer treatment or suffer with alopecia.

Any way just to confuse everything - because The Stroke Rehab are not a registered charity I can not add them onto this page but I am aimimg to equally share the sponsorship money between the 2 with the cash raised through my sponsorship forms aswell as JustGiving

So thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Support will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Please sponsor me!

Many thanks for your support, your sponsorship will be greatfully received

Thank you so much

Love Debby

ps. thank you to everyone who has so kindly sponsored me through the sponsorship forms too!
