Hello and welcome to my justgiving page raising money on behalf of Liverpool Sands.
Sands is an organisation which can offer you support when your baby dies during pregnancy or after birth and is run by people who have also experienced the loss of a baby.
Losing a baby changes your life forever. My son, Michael, died in November 2003 aged 1 day and I will be eternally grateful to the support given to Andrew and me by Formby Sands. However, it made me think that there should be a Sands group in Liverpool and with Steve and Shell Frost we have now made this a reality. We are always looking for ways to raise money and I have a deferred entry place in the Great North Run in September this year. I took part in 2008 and raised more than £500 for Sands. I hope to match that target, but would love to raise more so any donation gratefully appreciated!
We are hoping to have a large Liverpool Sands team in the Big Fun Run in Liverpool on August 6th - come and take part or just cheer me and the other Sands runners on!

Sands is one of those things that you hope you will never ever need. But sadly, seventeen babies die every day. So please help me help others whose lives have also now been changed forever.
