She is one of the lucky ones and survived, seemingly with no after-effects.&nbsp; I realise how lucky we are as there are around 2,500 cases of bacterial meningitis each year in the UK, 10% of cases result in death, 15% of survivors are left with severe after-effects.&nbsp; I have decided to raise some money for Meningitis Trust as they work to improve the lives of those affected and rely wholly on voluntary donations to fund their work.&nbsp; Jordan's little brother Thomas is taking part in the Toddle Waddle to raise money for other families who are not as fortunate as we are. &nbsp;</span></p> <p>So please dig deep and donate now!</p>
