My story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
John and I are both participating in the Blenheim Triathlon sprint this year on the 6th June. It involves a 750m Swim (in the lake!!) / 20km Bike / 5km Run. As I am being trained by an IRONMAN I am expecting great results! It is none the less the most daunting thing I have done since I jumped off a cliff in 1994 with elastic tied to my ankles!
Most of you will know that our close friend Dez who inspired us to do this crazy task passed away on 23rd May. We are therefore hoping to raise money for THE FOOD CHAIN that does some amazing work delivering meals to people living with HIV / AIDS who could not get the nutrition they require or make meals themselves. This charity makes a BIG difference to living with HIV for many people.
