About our charity : Children's Fund for Barts and The London Children's Hospital Children's Fund for Barts and The London Children's Hospital
Barts and The London Children's Hospital cares for over 45,000 children each year. We are the general hospital for east London and the City as well as a regional and national centre of excellence for a number of paediatric medical conditions and specialist treatments. Every year, The Children's Fund raises money for medical equipment, building projects, patient and family amenities and research. Donations help us enhance the work of children's hospital and to offer excellent care to our young patients, whether newborn or teenagers. The Children's Fund is a special fund held by Barts and The London Charitable Foundation.

Our personal message:

On February 14th 2008 I will be undertaking a sponsored swim in memory of our daughter Tess.  This date marks what would have been her 3rd birthday, and as it is a difficult time for us, Rob & I have decided to do something positive to commemorate her birthday.  We have chosen to raise funds for the Constance Green Ward at the Royal London Hospital, where little Tess spent most of her short life.

The excellent care given to very sick babies on this ward, and the support that their wonderful staff extended to us both and our families at such a difficult time, deserves our support in return.  We are hoping to raise a significant sum to donate to them in Tess’s name.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Children's Fund for Barts and The London Children's Hospital will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

Please join us in our efforts, both to support such a good cause, and to remember our very special little girl.
