The Williams Syndrome Foundation was formed in 1980 and is run by parents for parents of children with this rare condition which causes heart and kidney problems and learning difficulties. It desperately needs funds to finance its ambitious research and family support programmes which include national conventions and regional meetings.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I'm trying to raise money for the Williams Syndrome Foundation. My little girl Martha was diagnosed with Williams just before Christmas. It's a genetic disorder which can't be cured, and will mean she will have learning difficulties, and possible heart and kidney problems for the rest of her life. We're coming to terms with it, we'll be fine, but we're worried sick about Martha and about children just like her, we have no idea what life will be like for her as she grows older. I know no parent can ever say what will be in store for their child, but we want to help fund research into the syndrome, so as much as possible can be done to help Martha and other children and adults with Williams Syndrome.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Williams Syndrome Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

Thanks so much,
Debs
