I will be running the 2010 Virgin London Marathon THIS SUNDAY! I'ts forcast to be hot and humid, which means it's going to hurt! Please feel really sorry for me and donate to my good cause. I can hit my target with your help.
I asked someone to sponsor me the other day; he turned round and said 'no, he's not donating money to flowers!' I then began to understand the fight my charity has. People dont understand how important it is. Not only are we destroying our ancient woodlands and wild flower meadows every day as well as endangering our animals habitats, which, if we ignore for long enough we'll all end up living in a concreted, ugly world. But, and this is sooooo important, without charities like this, so many of the other great causes wouldn't exist. We work so hard to find cures for awful, life threatening diseases; well so many of our wonderful new drugs come from our plantlife. Imagine us wiping out a whole species (which we do regulary) and it just happen to be the route to a cure for some terrible disease. This isn't just about pretty flowers, it's about our water we drink, the air we breathe and our medical breakthroughs and our quality of life. Who wants the alternative? Without out habitat, we would become extinct! Not something to be taken lightly. Please help.
On Sunday, at around about 1pm, I'll be hurtung like hell, drenched in sweat, mascara running, body aching and in need of a good lie down . Donate to my charity and think of me, have a nice glass of wine or cold beer and remember that you helped me get to the finish line; also thank God that you done the donating bit and not the running bit!
Thanks to everyone
