Thank you for visiting my fund-raising page.

On 31st May David (40+), Peter (15), Matthew (13), Andrew (8) and me (??) all took part in various sponsored events in and around Horley.  David completed a 28 mile walk (and he is now rather aching to prove it); Peter completed 24 miles which was an excellent achievement.  He wanted to keep going "on daddy's shoulders" but daddy thought Peter should do the last few miles by car.  Matthew joined the young people for an 11 mile hike, while mum and Andrew did an under "10 year old" walk in the park in the morning followed by another 2 hour walk in the afternoon.  Fun was had by all! In fact there were about 50 of us walking for the day while others swam many lengths of the local pool.

We are already about half way towards our fundraising target so thank you to everyone who has sponsored us so far.  The good news is that it is not too late! Retrospective sponsorship is allowed and most welcome!

We heard this morning how much the children in Dorohoi, Romania are looking forward to their Holiday Club during the first week of August.  This is an exciting project involving 50 people travelling out to Romania for the week long event that anticipates involvement of up to 500 children in Dorohoi.  The town's Mayor and teachers at local schools are enthusiastic about the children having a week of activities over their very long summer holidays.  The project is linked to the ongoing work of GLIA.
