Story
As most of you know, my role at Saint Francis Hospcie involves working therapeutically with children preparing them for, and supporting them after the death of one of their parents. A lot of this work is helping the children face their fears of what life will be like without mummy or daddy. Currently I am working with 47 children from 26 families, but with far more on the waiting list.
I have decided to face my own fears and undertake this jump in an attempt to raise money for much needed play equipment and support books to give to these children.
My work often involves using books to explain the body's functions and to help explain the illness that is threatening the life of their parent. Unfortunately, these books are expensive as is the play & drawing equipment, sand and memory boxes.
The money raised from this jump will allow me to buy this equipment which I can use with children of all ages. It will also enable me to purchase information books and leaflets which I can leave with the families that I'm helping.
Thank you for your support.
