Story

Hey everybody,

Can I firstly thank everybody SO MUCH for all the generous donations made when I ran the Robin Hood half marathon in September. (See awful picture to the left!) We raised nearly £1,000 for an amazing charity and I can't believe how incredibly generous everyone was.

But apparently that wasn't enough! In a post-running-adrenalin-fuelled state of highness I declared I would carry on running through the dark and dreary months of winter and run the London Marathon.

I have a tough target to meet so we (see The A Team above) will be organising all sorts of fundraising events over the next few months... raffles, car boot sales, auctions... and a party with two dj's lined up! But any pennies that you could also donate online at this page will be greatfully received.

I am running for the Samantha Dickson Trust, which is the biggest brain tumour charity in the UK. Less money is spent on researching brain tumours than any other cancer but the disease affects so many people and research is needed urgently. It is a cause that is very close to my heart (and The A Team's) since a very good family friend of ours was diagnosed with a brain tumour in March.

So please sponsor me and help me meet my target everyone!

Lots of love, Delia x

PS Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust (SDBTT) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
