I am planning to go as Deputy Programme Manager with Raleigh International to India in Sept 2010 for 14 weeks. Raleigh International is a youth development charity, which enables young people to participate on expeditions overseas.

Life on expedition is going to be no 5* holiday, with tents being the primary accommodation and cooking meals on an open fire. The rewards of living and working in remote villages, amongst the community providing fresh clean drinking water outweigh the need for luxuries.

I will be running the 2010 Virgin London Marathon and other races, such as Thames Trot 50 Mile to raise money towards my trip to India.

In addition to the £1755 cost of the expedition I will be self funding my flights, vaccinations and equipment, so all your donations will go to the charity itself.
