On Saturday 5th July  our Founder and 24 other brave Greyhound Gap volunteers are spending the night in Derby Gaol.

Derby Gaol is reputed to be one of the most notoriously haunted locations in the UK and has featured on various programmes including Most  Haunted and is owned by MH's own historian Richard Felix.

The group consisting of 23 woman and only 2 men who were brave enough will be locked inside from 9pm - 4am  It may be no mean feat but its essential to continue to find new and daring ways to continuously raise funds to support the dogs in our care.

Fingers crossed for lots of spirit activity to keep them on their toes and wide awake all night!

OKAY UPDATE: I have decided as founder of the charity to push my own personal comfort levels! So many other people do so many scary things for the charity to raise money its about time I did. I HATE confined places, I HATE the dark, I HATE the thought of haunted locations and I get claustrophobia.

BUT STILL..... IF we raise more then the £500 I have set for general sponsorship I am willing to put all this aside and spend sometime alone inside the condemned mans cell. IF I really freak out I also suffer from anxiety and panic attacks I will still do it with someone else just on the inside of the doorway.

I CANNOT STRESS WHAT A HUGE PERSONAL UNDERTAKING FOR ME THIS WILL BE.
