It's over. 8 months of hard training and I finished the Strathclyde Olympic Distance Triathlon today. My optimistic goal was 3hrs 15 mins and I smashed this with 2hrs 47mins. I completed the swim 20 minutes ahead of target, made up 6 mins on the bike and another 13 mins on the run - unbelievable.

Thank you to everyone for their support in getting me across the line. Your donations kept me getting out to train when I didn't want to and on the day, which was miserably wet and windy, I had the more support than any of the 350 competitors.
The site will remain open for another 3 months to pick up some more sponsorship and hopefully we will exceed the target.
The challenge in 2010 is the Copenhagen Ironman on 15 August; 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle & 26.2 mile (marathon) run.
