I've been told many times by different people that everyone should do the Great North Run at least once. Usually when it's on TV on a Sunday in September I think they're probably right and have promised over the last 3-4 years that I would do it next year. That has never happened. Until now...
There I was sitting (sorry, I mean working), in the office yesterday (Monday 7 September) when an email came through from Simon in our Bristol office. He'd managed to injure himself in training for the run and could no longer take part. There it was - an opportunity not to be missed and I signed up to take his place (must have been something in my coffee!).
I appreciate that we're in a recession but if everyone who has been sent the link to this page donates just £2 each then this target will be smashed so please make an effort and donate now. There's only 12 days until the run and donations will certainly help keep me motivated during my intense training!!
