The Fat Boy has been hitting the road, pool and pavement recently in a effort to loose some weight. I've set two short term goals to aid me:

1) 100Km (65miles in old money) cycle taking place on 25th July - DONE in 3h 55m
NEW ADDITION 2) A Sprint Triathlon - Heritage Challenge Triathlon 2009 @ Portlaoise, Co Meath. 440m pool swim, 19k cycle & 5k run. 22nd August 09 - DONE in 01h 19mins 18sec
3) A Sprint Triathlon - The Quarryman Triathlon 2009 @ Summerhill, Co Meath. 750m open water swim, 25k cycle &n 5k run. 12th September 09. - DONE on 1h 53mins 38sec

As a means of you, my friends, encouraging me for these two events I thought it might be nice to raise some money for charity. I'm not asking for huge amounts just a pound or two, so you don't break the bank. The charity I've chosen is Cancer Research UK. We've all had a family member affected by cancer or at least known someone who has been affected by the disease, so I thought we could all do our little part to help.

Cancer Research UK is the world's leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. Their ground breaking work has saved millions of lives. 

So please show your encouragement for all the hard work I'm putting in by giving a few pounds to this worthwhile charity.
