Story
Greetings!
Two weeks to go to the Berlin Marathon; cheers to those who have already sponsored me!
Thats me, on the left, smiling at the start of the Barcelona Marathon March 08 before collapsing at the end. My partner failed to capture me staggering across the finishing line as she was too busy capturing a bottle of Rioja.... Only kidding! It was my zig zag approach...the Rioja came later.
I ran for my benefit (?) But this time I thought if there's going to be pain in Berlin, why not try and make some material gain and run for a worthy cause: Cerebral Palsy Sport.
CP Sport doesn't receive Government or Big Lottery Funding and so works extremely hard raising vital funds needed to continue making a difference to the lives of hundreds of people who rely on the charity's services.
The sports, which the organisation offer, include Athletics, Boccia, Bowls, Cycling, Football, Power-lifting, Swimming and Table Tennis.
I hope you agree it's a worthy fund raising cause to donate to . It would ease my pain considerably!
Here's to Berlin...and a large beer at the end of it....or two!
cheers!
(If I do not complete the marathon, you have made a donation and you would like a refund you will need to contact the charity directly and ask them to send 'Just Giving' a written refund request.)
