Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our Afghanistan Christmas Appeal page.
In the next three months, 22.8 million people, 55% of the population in Afghanistan, will suffer acute hunger - the highest proportion of people to face this ever recorded in the country. Of these, more than 8 million face starvation, putting them on the brink of famine.
In recent months, Concern teams in the north and northeast of the country have been addressing a number of key needs such as providing displaced families with items like blankets and soap, supplying livestock as a source of income and food, and strengthening the livelihoods of the most vulnerable so that they can support themselves.
- All donations made to Concern Worldwide for this appeal will go towards our work in Afghanistan.
