My mother has suffered from rheumatoid arthritis for many years. I have seen how debilitating this commonplace condition can be and hope that my efforts can help to raise money for the Arthritis Research Campaign (arc).
I made it back to the UK on 2nd April after successfully completing the Marathon des Sables in the Sahara Desert in southern Morocco. I suffered very badly with blisters and swollen feet but the pain that I had to push through helped me to understand a little bit of what it must be like to live with chronic arthritis.
