Story
It's just over year since Angie died. And at the time I said to myself I'd do a bike ride to raise money for St John's as a thank you. When I opened this page a couple of months ago it was an idea - cycle from Birkenhead to Angie's sister Sue's house near Bergerac, France. I did set off Sept 1st, down to catch the ferry at Weymouth to St Malo. I'm rode Angie's bike - a solid ride. We bought it second hand some 10 years ago for a cycling holiday in the Loire. That was the first time Angie had ridden a bike and she did really well. Back home she was less confident on our roads so she only rode it again occasionally on safe stretches like the Wirral Way and New Brighton promenade.I left the bike in Monsegur and I was right : France is its rightful home. I started a blog so you can read how it went there: http://destinationbergerac.blogspot.com/
