Story

Hi there!

When I heard about the Sick Kids Save Point gaming marathon, raising money for the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh, I couldn't help but sign up for the opportunity to get involved in. I will be journeying back in time to replay some of the games that I remember fondly from when I was younger, in particular the original Grand Theft Auto as it is without a doubt my favourite game from my youth. In addition I'll be streaming some Kinect and retro games online. You can see the full plan of action HERE.

I will be playing from Sat 8th October at 10am to Sun 9th 10am and will be posting updates on twitter (@develion). Not only that but to add a little "spice" to things, I'm going create videos, stream and much more... depending on how much I can raise!

  • £50: I’ll do a write-up of the day’s exploits
  • £75: Create a montage video for Youtube & Game Trailers
  • £100: Streaming live to the interwebs at set times
  • £125: Expanded montage with a mini video diary
  • £150: I’ll take requests of god awful games and stream playing them! *
  • £175: Video diary over the coming weeks in the build up to the the day.
  • £200: Video footage of me making a prat out of myself on the Kinect.
  • £300: Should I manage to raise a whopping £300 I will actually dress up as a ninja and record some footage of playing Fruit Ninja Kinect… then put it up on Youtube for people’s amusement!

As you can guess, I am quite fond of Fruit Ninja Kinect. So much so that I happen to have a key that will be raffled! So if you donate, have a Kinect and fancy a copy... let me know and I'll put your name in the hat. :)

I've put further details about my plans HERE on my site if you are interested!
