Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
You are probably aware by now that we are coming up to the 10 year that my little sis passed away. As you know, she had an incredible presence in the lives of those who knew her, and I’m sure there’s many a tale that can be told about her kindness, wicked humour and general diva-esque ways!
This year, in her memory, we wanted to help support a charity that is close to my heart and I’m sure Dhayani would have wanted to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than ours. Nearly all of you will know my very good friend Yasmene, who I went to university with. She, along with her husband Tim, went to Sri Lanka for their honeymoon, and were so moved by the plight of the tea-picking communities, where poverty, lack of education, domestic violence, and rape are rife, they jacked in their life in the UK to go and help change things for the better. And so began the Tea Leaf Trust, a registered charity with the aim of improving the quality of life of the poor communities in Sri Lanka…you can visit www.tealeaftrust.com for more information.
I am a Trustee of the charity and in order to sustain and continue the amazing work Yas and Tim have done, we would love to help generate funds that are so desperately needed.
So please dig deep and donate now.
