<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;">On 18^th November 2010 Diana lost her three year battle with kidney cancer; a disease that 6200 people a year learn they have, and yet a condition that rarely attracts much public attention. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">It is the mission of the James Whale Fund to try and change this; and has been set up by broadcaster James Whale, who lost a kidney to cancer in 2000. Today he lives a full and busy life as do many whose kidney cancer is diagnosed and treated early. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span></span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;">We know that many of our friends and acquaintances wish to pay their respects, and as such we are encouraging people to donate to the fund, which aims to help reduce the incidence of kidney cancer by increasing knowledge and awareness and by supporting research into the causes, prevention and treatment of the disease. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>The Fund also provides a vital support network offering advice, information and encouragement to those who&rsquo;ve been diagnosed with kidney cancer and their carers. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;">Diana will be remembered as a vivacious, kind and fun loving person who was truly special.
