Story

Hello,

If you've found your way here then you already know that I'm doing a stupid marathon this September. It's not (just) an early onset midlife crisis. A bunch of us are doing this because our friends' daughter, Esme Carter, or Bubby, who was just 22 months, died in July 2010 after months of horrendous treatment at Great Ormond St Hospital.

The day of the marathon would have been Bubby's 3rd birthday, so this is a chance for us to help Jason and Kelly remember her and to raise some money for the charity that is carrying out research into her illness.

Thanks for giving.
