Story

DULWICH CRICKET CLUB - CRICKET FOR LIFE

Sport is about enriching the lives of real people, people with hopes and dreams, ambitions for themselves, their families, their city, their country.

These sentiments underwrite the energies that have been expended to bring our chosen sport, cricket, to as wide a base of people as possible.

The vehicle chosen is the creation of an indoor cricket facility based at Dulwich Cricket Club. Located in the London Borough of Southwark and on the borders of Lambeth and Lewisham these boroughs represent some of the most ethinically diverse in the country but also include areas of extreme social deprivation and sporting exclusion.

The principles upon which our plans are based are threefold being Inclusivity, Excellence and Sustainability. The overall aim therefore is to create an environment that reaches into the community whilst providing the highest quality facilities and education but is also financially viable in the long term.

The combination of the history, of excellence, of sharing success and failures, of loyalty and of hospitality is one that we as a club wish to share.

We believe these are the life skills that sport can imbue.
