The NSPCC is Britain's largest children's charity and the only charity with statutory powers.
It runs 180 community-based projects. My favourite project is ChildLine which receives 4,500 calls from children each day.
Currently, we can only answer two-thirds of these calls. Children phone in to report physical, emotional and sexual abuse.
Three of my dearest friends are child abuse victims and I know from them that the support they received from organisations such as the NSPCC has enabled them to become strong individuals who now help many others.
When you're a kid and are suffering from abuse, it's important for someone to listen and offer professional guidance.
Your donations will:
-help ChildLine counsel an extra 1 million calls from children each year
-enable children across the UK to chat directly to ChildLine counsellors with instant messaging and email
-recruit more volunteers
