I have created this page to raise money for Target Ovarian Cancer. Over the course of the year i'm doing 3 big events (so far) to help raise money for the chosen charity which was recommended to me by a close friend.

These events are:

Half Marathon Of The North - 28/04/13

Total Warrior - 04/08/13 (10 mile assault course)

Bupa Great North Run -16/09/13

I have been wanting to do these events for a long time but never got the chance so now i have dedicated myself to complete these and hopefully many more in the future.

The charity helped me get my number for the GNR which i appreciated and there is nothing better than me looking to raise as much money possible.

 I have put the target as £750 but ideally over the course of the year i want to raise as much as i can to repay how generous this charity has been to me and other people in the same position. Not only will i be doing this but have arranged smaller events like bag packing days, raffles etc with the help of my family to help towards raising money for this charity.

Target Ovarian Cancer is the national ovarian cancer charity working to save lives and help women diagnosed live their lives to the full, wherever they are in the UK.

We do this by:

• Improving early diagnosis
• Finding new treatments
• Providing support for women
   

We do this because:

• There is an urgent need to secure progress.
• 7000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year, and sadly 4,300 women lose their lives each year.
• The UK has amongst the lowest ovarian cancer survival rates in Europe.
• There have been no new life-extending treatments in over 20 years.
• If we were able to achieve in ovarian cancer what has been achieved in breast cancer in the last 20 years, over 3,000 women would survive each year.
