Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses – who we continually support and develop – provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Story

DIVERS FOR DEMENTIA - http://diversfordementia.blogspot.com/ (read about our adventures here)

Norman and Dougal are planning to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats this summer to support DementiaUK, a charity which provides nurses to aid carers for Dementia sufferers.

PLEASE  SPONSOR US!  The distance is about 1000 miles, so 1p a mile would come to pretty well £10.  However, any amount of sponsorship, no matter how small or how large, would be welcome.

JOIN US FOR A STAGE (or the whole trip, if you’re feeling fit enough)

We are planning to set off from Land’s End on Monday 24th May, and to cover approximately 50 miles per day at about 10-12 mph.

A really good part of the trip will be having company from friends on the way.

HELP WITH LOGISTICS

If you were able to help by transporting our gear from one stage to the next, that would be really helpful.  We will be staying in hostels as far as possible, so there won’t be too much stuff.

Offers of accommodation would also be very much appreciated.
