How you can support us

 

There are a number of ways you can help support the work of Diversity FM.

 Firstly, you can spread the word, the more people who listen to us the more likely we are able to get support for our campaigns and make our events successful. When you tune into Diversity FM on 103.5 and like what you hear - please tell others. We are the district's only Community Radio Station and in essence we are owned by the community. Our success or failure depends on a number of things, not least in getting people interested and involved in what is happening in our community.

 We are not just about radio though! If you do like what you hear - great, we're really pleased that we are creating something of worth.

 More importantly, we're about giving people life chances. That's what Diversity FM is all about, giving local people from all kinds of backgrounds the opportunity to take a step up the ladder towards employment or qualifications, greater self-confidence or just to try something they wouldn't normally get the opportunity to do.

 So far we have seen many people benefit from the project, people growing in confidence and skills and even being recognised nationally for their talent and depth of knowledge on a specialist subject. This is what Diversity FM was meant to do for the people of our district - so far so good!

 But, as always, these things come at a cost. Diversity FM has secured funding until later in 2008, but after that......................?

 This is where we also need your help. Donations, however small, will help secure the future of the station and the work we are doing within the community. Not only in bringing residents of Lancaster and Morecambe a relevant and diverse radio service, but also in offering opportunities to those same residents to have a say and a direct influence in how their local communities and the wider community of the district develops.
