Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I bought a new bike last year from my friend Brett. It's a great bike and I ride it everywhere. Brett thought of the idea of doing the London to Cambridge bike ride. I was well up for it so i signed up, but Brett decided to do a bike ride less intense. I couldn't go back on my word, so I have been training hard and cycling everywhere on the Red Rocket. As well as being a personal goal, it's a fantastic way for me to raise money for charity.
I have chosen Leukaemia Research as my online charity as it means a lot to me and my family. In 2007 I lost my cousin Stephanie Wilson at the tender age of 22 years. She was only ill for 4 weeks and was a massive shock to all of our family and her friends. As a way of giving back to the wonderful doctors and nurses who helped Stephanie, and to those working hard in finding a cure. My target is £570.00, so that is £10 for every mile I cycle. Yes, it's 57 miles!
All the money I raise offline is going to the events chosen charity 'Breakthrough Breast Cancer'. This is another charity which means a lot to me as I have a friend called Jacki going through treatment now, a family friend called Sue Tighe who is now in remission and another friend Called Julie Otway who is now fully recovered. All of this couldn't have been done without the money that is donated to the charity.
Please donate all you can, because every penny counts towards saving lives.
Thank you
