Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Please help me raise as much money as possible for Wooden Spoon.

In February I am taking part in the Pacific Ocean leg of the world's longest race - The 2007/08 Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. This involves around 9 weeks (depending on how fair the winds are to us!) of hard work, not a lot of sleep and a whole load of water whilst racing 3500 miles from China to North America. More details of the race and progress of my boat, Glasgow: Scotland with Style, can be found at  http://www.clipperroundtheworld.com/.

Wooden Spoon is the charity of British and Irish Rugby and supports children and young people who are physically, mentally or socially disadvantaged. Since its inception in 1983, Wooden Spoon has raised over £11m through its 40 regional volunteer committees and national fundraising events ensuring that in excess of 500,000 children have had their lives enhanced through the work of Wooden Spoon.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me : Wooden Spoon will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Thanks for your time and all your donations, however large or small.
