Update - We both finished, although a little way off our respective targets :(
One target that we didn't miss was the fundraising total - something that all you fantastic people have achieved for us. Every penny of every donation is gratefully received by the shelter to be put tp the best possible use. Your generosity is truly appreciated, thank you so much. x

On 19th September, Davina and I will be running the Great North Run, raising money for Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter.
The charity runs two sites in Newcastle, on Claremont Road and Benton North Farm. The main aim of the shelter is to reunite lost animals with their owners and where this is not possible, provide care and shelter until a loving home can be found.
This is a charity very close to our hearts, having been lucky enough to give a home to 3 fantastic dogs over the past few years. Some of you may be aware that we sadly lost our first dog, Sally, on the evening of last years Great North Run. She was a great friend who will continue to be fondly remembered.
Since the turn of the year Davina and I have been running more and more with focus on getting around the 13.1 mile course in the best time possible. Whilst we won't be battling at the front with Haile Gebrselassie, we will be giving it our all!
