Parayhouse was established as a specialist school for students with speech, language & communication difficulties in 1983, and continues to provide a specialist education for students from Local Education Authorities across Greater London. It is committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment in which each student can achieve their potential.

Story

Dear Friends,

I am doing a 200 mile cycle ride in May to support an incredible charity
that brings joy and love and learning to a wonderful group of kids with
special needs.

Parayhouse School provides a safe, nurturing environment for its pupils,
many of whom are educationally fragile and arrive at Parayhouse with poor
self-esteem, low self confidence and undeveloped basic skills. These special educational needs emanate from conditions such as Down's Syndrome, Fragile X, Asperger's Syndrome to medical conditions such as diabetes and epilepsy. The school aims to enable these kids to become effective communicators, to develop optimum social skills, and to acquire a confident and independent approach to learning. We are aiming to raise £30,000 for a range of special educational equipment that the school desperately needs, but which is not provided for by the government. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Parayhouse School will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too! Thank you! Domnic
