Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
On 6th December 2008 I’m going to Abseil down from above the “Screaming Alley” in Ramsgate to help raise money for 'CLIC Sargent' (a charity caring for children with cancer) & the 'Kent and Medway walking bus group' (walking to school schemes)
My family has had personal experience of cancer as I have lost two brothers to the disease. 29 years ago, my older five year old brother, Matthew, died from a brain tumour and more recently, on 1st June 1998, my younger brother, Laurence, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
For the next 7 months my family & I went through extremely difficult and challenging times with my brother & parents having to frequently visit the Royal London hospital for long periods of time for treatment.
Unfortunately, we did not receive any help from good charities such as CLIC, but had we done so it would have made a big difference and help lift some of the weight from our shoulders, and who knows, may have helped to change the outcome.
This is why I’m supporting this good cause, as I feel that families going through these hard times have so much to deal with they need every little bit of support they can get to ease some of the immense pressure put upon them!
Please help me to help them!
Thank you for donating.
