At 4am on Sat 7th Mar 09 I plan to set off and run 53 miles :) to raise money for an extension to the Edinburgh Erskine Home which cares for ex service men and women injured in past and present day conflicts such as Iraq and Afghanistan.
The route will be between all the Police Stations in E Division, Lothian & Borders Police where I 've served as a uniformed Police Officer since leaving the Army 12 years ago. The start is Dunbar Police Station then onto, North Berwick, Haddington, Tranent, Prestonpans, Musselburgh, Dalkeith, Newbattle, Gorebridge, Bonnyrigg, Loanhead and lastly 53 miles (x2 marathons) later Penicuik Police Station.
